James Olmsted, a retired attorney in Eugene Oregon, now focuses his energies on empowering local communities to engage in conserving ecologically sensitive landscapes and at risk species. For this to be possible James Olmsted encourages everyone to engage in preserving global democracy and fighting climate change.
James Olmsted is a retired attorney dedicated to protecting democracy, defending democratic institutions, and ensuring environmental sustainability. He is the co-founder and president of Democracy4All (D4A), a nonprofit organization committed to advancing these values.
At D4A, we believe that democracy is the foundation upon which all other protections rest. Only in a democratic society—where citizens have a voice, laws are just, and leaders are accountable—can we effectively safeguard social safety nets, combat climate change, and preserve natural landscapes.
Our mission is clear: Protect democracy first. A healthy democracy empowers citizens to demand action on climate change, protect vulnerable species, and ensure the survival of essential programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
Our Core Principles:
James Olmsted and D4A are committed to a future where democracy is protected, the planet is preserved, and every individual has the opportunity to thrive. Join us in building a just and sustainable world.
